As an abandoned adoptee, the sky has always held a special place in my heart.
Growing up, the sky was my baby blanket, the only constant tie I had to my birth mother—missing, nameless, and faceless, yet always in my heart. I knew she was out there, under the same sky as I, and with every tree I climbed, reaching for the stars, I felt closer to her.
The moon’s gentle glow, the warmth of the sun, and the twinkle of the stars gave me a connection that filled the emptiness of not knowing her.
Running wild through the cornfields of Iowa, I was a free bird, with the sky as my guide. The waterfalls and creeks I encountered along the way brought a cleansing to my heart that nothing else could offer. Nature became my refuge, my first love, and my greatest healer. It still is today.
This collection, Moonbeams, and Sky Dreams is dedicated to Mother Nature and to anyone who has ever found peace and healing in her embrace. It is especially for those who, like me, carry a mother wound—whether from abandonment, loss, or separation—and have found comfort in the sky, the trees, and the rivers.
Nature's love has always been with us, and this collection celebrates that connection, offering a gentle reminder that we are never truly alone. I hope this collection touches your heart and reminds you that no matter how far apart we may be from those we long for, we are all under the same sky.
